[HANASHIR:2480] Re: Congregational Seder

Alan (and anyone else looking for seder ideas)
something we do at home which can be done easily at a congregational seder
with lots of kids is to make a jigsaw puzzle which when assembled gives the
location of the afikomen (either gives the answer or a good clue) This way
there are lots of little pieces for the kids to find and they have fun
assembling the puzzle to find the answer. It keeps them busy and they can all
say they found the afikomen.

We also give out the chad gadya parts and make the animal sounds, etc. when
it's our part....
we have a 10 plagues kit (with styrofoam hail, plastic bugs, red food
coloring, etc.) to act out the plagues...
we play crack the egg.
lots of singing...
serve a vegetable crudite with dip for the karpas part of the seder - it's
perfectly within the tradition and it keeps people's stomachs from growling
thru the first part of the seder before dinner.
I'll think of more stuff and write again....
