Hi everyone,

I first wanted to say I am really enjoying this mailing list.  I've just
been on it for a couple of weeks but it's been wonderful to read.  I'm a
graduate student at The College of New Jersey and a past president of our
Jewish Student Union/Hillel.  I've enjoyed singing Jewish songs at the
couple of conventions I have been to (Kesher and Hillel, for example) and
I really enjoy leading services at our campus when I can.  I've also
become a BIG fan of Jewish music since becoming acquainted with the music
of Debbie Friedman in November of 1997 when I saw her perform at the
Council of Jewish Federations' General Assembly in Indianapolis.

Anyway...  I wanted to let you all know that there is now a mailing list
for all of you who are fans of Debbie Friedman's music.  I actually
created it a couple months ago after seeing her in concert, which is
always an amazing experience, but I hadn't advertised it till now!

discuss Debbie's music and the impact that it has had on them, concert
experiences, how they have used Debbie's music with singing groups, etc.

forward to continuing my education about Jewish songleading on this list!
