[HANASHIR:2345] Re: rehearsal preparation -Reply

Any time I am preparing the volunteer choir to sing (they don't have a set
schedule this year), I find myself putting in about 8 - 10 hour prep time for
2 - 3 hour rehearsal. This is just in the beginning however, once the
selections have been made and sometimes parts written out, I find I only have
to put in about an hour of prep time before each rehearsal. The most
important thing to do, as has been said, is GET ORGANIZED!! You will feel
better about rehearsals and so will the choir. You need to be organized to
the point where you know how far you want to go in a new piece and which
previously learned pieces you want to review. It sounds like you are doing a
GREAT job - keep up the good work.
