regarding possible professional development places:
this may not be your thing, but i find that klez camp run by Living
Traditions revives my intellectual and spiritual center, as well as
giving me niggunim and songs i immediately add to my repertoire as a
synagogue person and performer. so much fun and vitality, run by
democratic people who are successfully reviving yidddish culture and
klezmer against all odds. at the not quite seedy but not swank by any
means Paramont Hotel in Parksville New York over the Christmas Week.
