[HANASHIR:2115] Re: Sim Shalom canon

I have been singing that Sim Shalom since I was a child.  Have no idea whether
Dona Nobis Pacem is part of the Xian liturgy, but regardless, the words are
certainly not offensive and the melody is beautiful.  Our tradition has
borrowed lots of melodies from the church and other places (German drinking
songs for Adon Olam, for example)
I have also heard this canon done to Shabbat shalom um'vorach.  It's a
gorgeous a cappella piece for a choir or even a trio.  I say USE IT!
