Since I am plagued with constant allergies and colds, this is my totally
empathetic advice: drink lots of water, take robitussin, don't talk at all,
sing in whatever key your voice seems to be able to reach that day, use a
microphone and sing softly, and (from my visit to the voice center): don't use
menthol  cough drops and try not to clear your throat (that causes hoarseness;
they told me to just swallow hard whenever I feel like clearing my throat).
Shorten your singing time if possible. Get your audience to participate more.

Feel  better!
