Hi everyone!  I'm in the midst of a hectic finals week, but I had to
respond to the list concerning Marc Cohn -- he's one of my favorite
artists, but I hate to compare him to Michael Bolton...  I have all three
of his CDs and I love the first two (just got the third one and it's still
growing on me).  Two songs by him that many are familiar with are "Walking
in Memphis" and "True Companion" (the first and last songs on his first
CD.  Another song by him that I highly recommend is called "The Things
We've Handed Down."  It's a tear-jerker...and it's beautiful.  I think
it's on "The Rainy Season" (last song).  Anyway, I did have the
opportunity to listen to "Festival of Light"... it didn't have quite the
adverse effect on me that it seems to have had on many of you, though I
can't say I love it or anything.  It definitely doesn't have a whole lot
of Chanukah material.  Anyone who would like to buy it but doesn't want to
spend big bucks should join BMG because they have it (you will end up
spending just over 3 dollars on it, of course,then you have to know of 11
other CDs you want, which will also average out to just over 3 dollars
a piece, but it's still a much better deal than any store). 

Anyway, that's about all I can say.  My brain is completely fried from
writing art history papers.  I hope everyone is having a happy Chanukah... 

oh - I almost forgot...one of my third grade sunday school kids brought me
this one:

I have a little dreidle, I made it in my mind,
my imaginary dreidle is very hard to find.

I've had fun reading the verses posted to the list - I printed MOST of
them out on Sunday and we had a "dreidle marathon" at the synagogue's
Chanukah party the other night...
