        Folks:

        In keeping with my stated policy as list owner, part of serving
the Jewish
        music community does include a certain level of tolerance for
        self-promotion, announcements of gigs, tours, new recordings,
new songs,
        songbooks, etc. Some of us do have to make a living at this, and
we should
        encourage and support each other in that.

        I would ask, however, that we, as usual, limit our
self-promotion to a
        reasonable amount, and, whenever possible, take responses to
inquiries and
        other "commercial" activities off the list into private email
once the
        initial announcement has been made. That goes for those
responding to the
        announcement/inquiry as well as to those who made it.

        That being said, I do wish to welcome Randee Friedman of Sounds
Write
        Productions to the list, and hope you will all find her a
valuable resource.
        Now, if anyone knows how I can get Mayer or Velvel Pasternak to
participate
        on a regular basis.....

        And Mr. Klepper has been somewhat silent as of late.
Jeff-passing up the
        chance to send us some Hanukah parodies? I'm surprised!
