A friend brought me a copy of the Union Hymnal that he bought at a used
book store.  It was a skinny copy, not the nice fat one I remembered,
but with the same maroon cover.I had a nice "down memory lane" time
playing through it.  One good thing.  It has very nice piano
arrangements for us non-ear players.  Bless old Lewandowski, Binder,et
al. The book plate in this copy is from 1960  and the East 55th Street
Jewish Center.  Don't know where that is. We've certainly come a long
way since then.   Of course, the congregation didn't really sing in
those days.  The copy I owned was from the 30's, but I have long since
lost it.   Nana
