You're right. We do learn alot by way of listening. But songleading, with all
it's aspects and goals may require a different type of discipline. There are
SO many little  elements to this art. I've merely been suggesting that the
songs we learn for our teaching purposes, that we get to know them competely.
That way we can truly give each and every one of these good songs there due.

I believe we're talking about the same thing, getting to know new music, just
from somewhat different perspectives.
