[HANASHIR:1378] Re: Saving Camp Swig

I have received so far two replies to my post. So far both point
out that Camp Kutz is *not* in fact the "only UAHC Camp
which provides intensive leadership and artistic training to
the children of the Reform movement ..."

A few thoughts. First, and most important, I meant
no slight to OSRUI's Tiferet program by my post or
re-post. (thanks, DM, for giving info on Tiferet. Given
Hava Nashira and like programs there, OSRUI is of course
a wonderful, logical place for such a program.)

Second, although I am not the original author of the text
quoted above, I of course take responsibility
for anything I repost.

Third, I'll let the original author of the text know about
the OSRUI program. Since I didn't write the text, I'm not
quite sure what the author meant by it, so I don't actually
want to "retract" it or "stand corrected" without knowing
what the author had in mind.

Fourth, nobody in the "save Camp Swig" camp (pardon
the pun) wants to ignite any turf battles, as far as I know.
I know Donny wasn't saying that, but I want to make it
clear that that ain't what I'm after. We have enough tsuris. :-)

Last, wouldn't it be grand to have three such programs in
the US, one on the East Coast, one in the Midwest, and one
on the West Coast?

Anyway, I'll let the author know about the information and I'm
sure he'll take steps to correct or amend as appropriate.

G'mar chatima tova,

Joel
