Hello all!  

I would like to reiterate what Nana Lister said about Donny Maseng's
performance in Kansas City September 12th.  It was so beautiful.  I am
always at a loss for words when I try to describe his show.  I've never
seen a spirit so alive and real.  It was very refreshing to see him
perform again, now that I've heard the tape quite a few times since the
last live performance I saw (at Hava Nashira, 1997).  Another unique thing
about this performance was the fact that it was sponsored by 5
congregations -- 2 reform, 2 conservative, and 1 orthodox.  I can't think
of a more perfect reason to bring these different facets of Judaism
together as an entire community.  If you haven't seen "Wasting Time With
Harry Davidowitz," please try to make it to a show.  It's an especially
renewing experience at this time of year.  On that note, l'shanah tovah
u'mitukah!  (a good and sweet year!)  May you sing a shira mitukah (sweet
song) to start off the year on the right note!
