When I work with a congregation for the first High Holy Days, I often
have session with a few musically knowledgble congreagants where I "hum
a few bars" to find out what version of things they know--or where they
hum a few bars, and I go look for the piece.   

If you are leading a second service or a kids service, the best resource
is the other music professional.  But you probably know this. 

Please let me know specifically what pieces you are looking for music
for, and I will do my best to tell you where they are published in an
accessible form.
