Vocal nodules?
Water - lots and lots and lots of water.
And no caffeine. And no talking loud.
Ask your doctor to prescribe gulfaniasin
(the expectorant stuff that's in cough medicine - 
it loosens and liquifies your natural secretions).
When Carolyn (my 16 year old) had these last summer,
she did what the doc said, and a bunch of speech therapy
(nodules caused by how she spoke - not how she sang)
By September the nodules were almost gone and she 
hasn't lost her voice all year.
