Hanashir Recordings

Last year I was unable to create and distribute recordings of Hava Nashira
activites as had been done in previous years, and many
people have asked me about that. It is difficult for me sometimes to make the
recordings, because it can distract from my own
participation. Also, as last year I was also on OSRUI staff (as I will be again
this summer) I was responsible to arrange the
video-tapings of song-leading, which also made it impossible to make the audio
recordings.

This year I would like to again produce a Hava Nashira tape for use by
participants. In order to make this a reality, I need several
things:

1. This process represents a significant cost outlay for me - renting
professional equipment, editing time, making masters, labels,
j-cards, duplicating, etc. I do not do this for profit (and in fact, most
years, did it at a loss), so before I commit, I need to
have some idea how many might be interested in purchasing a set of the tapes,
so I can see if the income will be sufficient to allow
a reasonable price for the tapes to cover expenses.

2. I will need several people to assist me with the process of recording this
year in order to make it work and allow me to still
perform my other tasks. No special knowledge required, but a little mechanical
aptitude might help

So, what say you, all who are coming to Hava Nashira?

To tape, or not to tape?

Adrian
