Hi, It's my first post to this list.
Anyone have any ideas of good songs to sing at a weekend long
bereavement
retreat in the mountains. We have a healing service and tree planting
ceremony that lends to plenty of time for singing. (We sing at campfires
and meals too.)
Last year I used Debbie Friedman's Angel song as a thematic piece that
we
sang many times over the coarse of the weekend. Any suggestions for a new
song, chant, etc. to use for the same purpose.
Other songs we sang last year (that I can remember off the top of my
head)
were
Eli, Eli ; Peace I ask of thee o river; Kol hanishama (round);
In my life (Beatles); Turn turn turn; Sh'ma Koleinu (DF);
Mi Shebeirach; Im ain ani li mi li; Blackbird (Beatles)
Finally, anyone know a campy melodie for the psalm 23?
I look forward to meeting some of you at Hava Nashira!
