Advertising

I have made my position, as list owner, quite clear. Commercial information of 
an informational nature will be tolerated, because, as working professionals, 
many of us both need that information, and need to let our colleagues know what 
we have available so we can make a living. And I might even tolerate, once, a 
blatant commercial plug.

But I will not permit continued self-promotion or advertising, no matter how 
apparently subtle or innocent or brief.

As an example: a message saying:

Hey, y'all, I have a brand new (CD, book, song) coming out called "insert title 
here" and it will be available through "insert where" . It has great "insert 
great stuff in your product here" and would be real useful for those of you 
working in "insert setting here." For more information, you can email me 
directly at artist (at) jewishmusic(dot)com or visit the web page at "insert 
URL here".

Will be permitted-once per new product/item/etc. Subsequent pandering will not 
be tolerated, OK?

The submission must be in the  sort of talky, folksy style like above. Short 
and simple and to the point. If it is formatted more like a typical online 
email advertisement or spam message, it will not be tolerated.
