Teens and music, continued

A recent nice event which relates to our previous discussions on teens
and music:
I have often found my own teenage daughter listening to what I
considered to be very bad taste in music (loud noise with some cussing
in it). Quite dismaying for a person like myself, who is involved in
singing pretty, folky Jewish songs!
Yesterday, I heard a really nice song in a restaurant, and asked one
of the young-looking workers there who the artist was, but she didn't
know. Later on, I sang what I remembered of the song for my daughter,
and she immediately went into the drawer where she keeps her cd's.
"You like that? I have it!" (It was a group called Savage Garden.)
She was actually kind of thrilled that I liked it. We then watched
some of the grammy show, and we both enjoyed watching Trisha Yearwood
receive her award, and we both hated that Hanson didn't win.
It was very rewarding for me to share musically with my daughter.
Just thought I would share this little story!
