Chicago -- new musical reading

Shana tova everyone! My best wishes to you all for a happy and healthy
5758. Obviously this post will be most relevant for our Chicago friends,
but I thought everyone might get a kick out of seeing what's happening here
in Chicago musical-theater-wise:

*****

Did you ever wonder what it would have been like to see hit Broadway
musicals while they were still being written and tweaked, before anyone
knew they'd be a hit? NOW'S YOUR CHANCE!

Come see the staged reading of SHABBATON, the new musical about a Jewish
singles weekend at the Hotel La Frum, and the matchmaker who can help
everyone but herself, because she hasn't gotten her "get." Book by June
Finfer and Anita Turtletaub, music by Ilya Levinson. [I'm playing the
matchmaker, Fay Schwartz.]

It will be presented as part of the WRITERS BLOC FESTIVAL on Monday,
October 20, 8 p.m., at the Theatre Building, 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago.
Tickets are just $5 -- that's right, catch it before it's 75 bucks on
Broadway!
