Subject: Songs Translated Into Hebrew
I'm not a songleader. I have some of Dudu Fisher's cd's where he sings
Broadway hits and opera selections in Hebrew. I feel that singing all
songs in Hebrew would help me get used to hearing Hebrew.
I would dearly love to sing the Star Spangled Banner in Hebrew. Has this
translation been done? Since we JCC senior folks sing the Star Spangled
Banner and HaTivah every Thursday before we lunch, I think it would be
marvelous to sing the Star Spangled Banner in Hebrew. It's part of the
learning process, especially when it's harder to learn new things as one
ages. If I had been taught Hebrew properly as a kid, I wouldn't ask for
help. I'd do it myself.
