Hi Meris - and list -
This one I know for sure. I know a lot about David D'or because
(1) he wrote a dedication for the front page of Hebrew Songs.com and
(2) he is this year's Israel representative at the Eurovision Song contest.
David's dedication on our site is an English word-play on his hit "Shmor al
Ha'olam Yeled" which means "Watch over the World, Child"
Here are the words
http://www.hebrewsongs.com/song-shmoralha%27olamyeled.htm
On that page you will see the link to David D'or's website and all his CD's.
Warm wishes

Here is one other song for Yom HaShoah that is gorgeous and I need words and
translation to! Have you heard of: Sh'mor al haOlam sung by David De'or?
That is definitely from the album entitled, "Shalom Chaver." Beautiful
haunting chorus starts in a descending minor scale.... Any help?
Thanks soooooooo much,
Meris

Hi Meris -
I've been going nuts with this one!
(as you'll see by the Hanashir list)
Have you tried Transcontinental music at all?
Regards
Aura

You're amazing Aura! So here's another question - Have you heard of the
song, "L'chol Ish Ye'shan?" I think it's on a CD entitled, "Shalom Chaver,"
a collection of songs put together when Rabin died. Please email me
privately. I'm looking for words, translation and possibly sheet music. If
I can't get sheet music, I'll transcribe it myself. Thanks!

Hi Meris -
Here it is

A gorgeous collection.
(I was referred to this website by two readers from 2 different continents
who were happy with their service.
We derive no benefit from referring them - just for the record)
Warm wishes to all

Regarding the resource for some of Rahel's music, "100 Shirim Rishonim,"
does anyone know where to get an audio of the songs? I know there's a
video out, but I don't want to sit and watch that. Is there a CD or tape
available?

Check out PrintMusic. I downloaded a demo of it and it works very much like
Finale for creating songsheets (part of the same family), but simpler. And
if I remember correctly, you can scan music and play it back.

Both Finale and Sibelius are capable of this.

Friends,
Does anyone know of a program that can take scanned-in notated music and
play it back to you in some form?
