[HANASHIR:16741] Jewish Music from Yemen

I have a CD by Tszia Bar called "Likrat Kala" which
might be of interest to you. It was produced in 1996
in Israel by a Jewish Yemenite Musical Heritage
organization. Listed on it is ACUM, C.D.R. 849-2
05/1996. You might find it on the ACUM website or one
of the Israeli music websites.
Another way to hear Yemenite music in its contemporary
Israeli development is through recordings by Bo'az
Shar'abi, especially his song "Lashir Itach" with
Shoshana Dam'ari. These are available from Hed-Artzi I
believe.
Finally - No'a, otherwise known in Israel as Achino'am
Nini, is of Yemenite descent and has many songs of
Yemenite influence among her recordings.
B'hatzlacha (good luck)!
