[HANASHIR:16681] RE: What's Hachnasat Orchim?

Hello!

When I responded to Nell a few weeks ago I mentioned how sometimes I tie
songs like "Coming Home" or "Just Another Foreignor" into Hachnasat Orchim.
My connection is that, like Abraham and other biblical characters welcomed
strangers and guests, Israel has developed and thrived as a nation by
inviting Jews from all over the world into the country and helping them make
Israel their home.

Have others used this connection, preferably with older elementary school
kids? (3-6 or so) Do you find that it works? If not, what do you think of
the connection?

I am very open to critiscm/suggestions, so...thanks so much for your help
and feedback!

~smile always~
