This list is just amazing.  In response to my request for Hachnasat Orchim
songs for a 1st grade family ed program, I got THREE original songs from
list members!  All three teach important concepts, and all three are
age-appropriate and quite singable.  Cantor Wally's song calls out for a
circle dance, which will get everyone up and moving.  Chuck Mitchell's song
has a great catchy rhythm and Hebrew chorus.  
 
I have to single out Carol Boyd Leon's "Who's That A-Knocking?", because
it's from a soon-to-be-published book of her work for young children.  She
includes the musical notation, lyrics in songsheet format, background info
on the topic, and teaching suggestions.  You'll have to get in line behind
me, because I can't wait to get the whole book of songs!
