Hello!
In terms of Israel, you might try singing an Israeli song with a Hebrew
chorus but English verses. It's a great exposure to Israeli music and
Israeli artists, yet still feasible in terms of a performance. Ex: Al Kol
Ele or Yih'yeh Tov (good English singable verses to both in the Complete
Shireinu).
I'm not sure about specifically American songs (that would be appropriate
for this type of event), but I know that my camp kids that age liked to end
song sessions with "Wherever You Go" (there's always someone Jewish).
Although it sounds like your curriculum doesn't really discuss Jews around
the world, part of learning about American Jewry is coming to appreciate the
uniqueness of American Jews, and how we should be proud of who we are. This
song is upbeat, a little silly, and fun, but most importantly emphasizes
that no matter where Jews live they're still Jewish. If done right, it
couldn't definitely work into your themes and add some fun to the service.
Good luck!
~smile always~
