WAY COOL, ROBBIE!!!  Tara has some nice band arrangements for klezemer type and 
typical Israeli, Hava Nagila, etc.  I will check with Alberto Mizrahi and see 
what he suggests.  (He is the hazan where I work and has song with many 
orchestras...)  Transcontinental may also have some pieces for orchestra and 
singer.  You also might try to contact Mattie Lazar in New York or Jon Jacobson 
in Boston as I think they have done choral pieces with orchestra, and the music 
may lend itself you your needs.
