Hi Lisa
The Manginot and The Complete Shireinu (both published by
Trnascontinental www.eTranscon.com) are a must for any RS music
teacher, old or new. Both have melody line, chords and translations
where they're needed. They have a variety of songs for every holiday,
and are well indexed so you can find anything easily. I've taken mine
apart and put them into 3 ring binders, as I use them so much they
were coming apart!
Do you learn new music by ear or do you read music? And are you
teaching K-7 all at one time (we do!) or are they separated out by age
or interest?
Good luck in your new position. I've been teaching RS music for
several years now, and our program is very successful. I'll be happy
to share anything you need!
