[HANASHIR:16194] Re: Learn Modern Hebrew!

I want to give a testimonial to the joys of studying Hebrew. I've been
taking a prayerbook Hebrew course at HUC, in part to be able to tell the
choir what they are singing about. Recently, I was at a choral concert where
a mass was being performed. I was reading the translation and came upon
"Blessed is he who comes in the name of God" and lo and behold, I started
saying "Baruch haba..." It was SO exciting. Such joy.

now ready to focus on our speaking skills. Some attention will be paid to
prayer book Hebrew. Class will be conducted in Hebrew. We are accepting new
students for on-going weekly classes resuming in January. Classes take place
in the early evening and are 1 1/2 hours each (6:30-8:00PM). Pre-requisite:
Ability to read and write in Hebrew (block & script).

Please contact me directly if you are interested in joining the class. Feel
free to pass this announcement on to anyone you feel might be interested.

Thanks so much,

Rahel
