Right -- I was confused about "torah reading" and "havdalah" in the same
service.

Presumably both you and the other are right.  In which case, what you have
is a Mincha/Ma'ariv/Havdalah service:

Mincha:
  Ashrei
  Torah Service with abbreviated reading from following week
  Shabbat Amidah
Ma'ariv
  Barchu/Shema & it's blessings
  Regular Amidah
  Aleinu
Havdalah

(If you're doing Mincha and Ma'ariv together, no need to do Aleinu afer
Mincha)
