Janeen:
The only way to do it is manually. Although it was possible, SONY did not
enable the ability to transfer minidisc ATRAC files in digital format
directly to a computer.
You have to use the manual, line-in feature of whatever recording software
you use. Hook your MD player's line-out to the line-in of your sound card.
Set your MP3 recording to record and start your MD.
MusicMatch's recorder can use your line-in input, and it also has a feature
which can auto-detect the spaces between tracks and automatically separate
the tracks (although it is not 100% effective.) This is the same technique
you need to use for cassettes or LPs.
Hope this helps.

onto my computer and then onto a CD ... I know we've talked about it before
but, of course, I can't find it anywhere.

by the way ... those of you who remember Gideon Lyons from London who
attended HN twice several years ago and then came home to fargo with me ...
fell in love with my daughter Sarah ... who has been living in London with
him lo these 3 years ... will be happy to know that they became engaged this
morning on top of a mountain in Wales.
