I learned Zug el Zug from a co-teacher many years ago, and it remains one of 
my kindergartners' favorites. They bump behinds on "zug el zug" and always 
laugh delightedly (You have to watch out for the over-enthusiastic!). The 
teacher 
I learned it from moved to Israel from Rumania when she was 7 and lived there 
till she was 15. I assume she learned it there, but she might have learned it 
at a day school in Montreal where she later taught. I'll try to check with 
her, if noone can provide more information....
