[HANASHIR:15910] Finale data entry

If you 'play' the music into the system via MIDI, you will often spend more
time 'cleaning up' than if you entered the music other ways. If you want to
enter a single line at a time, then the computer keyboard alone is fastest;
however, if you want to enter more than one note at a time, such as chords,
then playing the chord on the MIDI while typing a key on the computer keyboard
to specify duration is even faster.

  If you want to typeset a composition with Finale, it's
  usually easier and faster to use your computer keyboard
  than a music keyboard!

  If you want a decent music keyboard on which you can
  actually perform music (with or without a computer
  attached), go for something around $300. Here is the
  page with Yamaha keyboards:

http://www.yamaha.com/yamahavgn/CDA/List/ModelSeriesListLE/0,6583,CTID%253D205000%2526CNTYP%253DPRODUCT%2526VNM%253DLIVE%2526AFLG%253DY,00.html

  If you want to attach the keyboard to your computer,
  make sure that the keyboard is General Midi (GM)
  compatible (most above the entry level are); you will
  need to buy a special Midi cable to make the connection
  to your computer sound card.
