[HANASHIR:15732] Am Yisrael Chai

[Shir Chadash <shir_chadash...>]

Does anyone know the origins of the text of the song Am Yisrael Chai by 
Carlebach?  The only information I could find was a reference in a Velvel 
Pasternak book to it being a kind of anthem to Jews in the former Soviet 
Union.  But there is no indication of the origin of the text itself.
