I am glad you mentioned the concept of viral infections.  What I have always
found helps  me whenever my throat even begins to feel that little scratch
is a product developed by an Israeli Virologist and produced and tested in
Israel called Sambucol.  It is a liquid extract from the Black Elderberry
Tree.  Just like echinechea is supposed to be natures antibiotic this is
considered to be antiviral and I have found it to be very helpful in the
past 5 years as a song leader.
