[HANASHIR:15308] Re: Simple children's choir suggestions

Cantor Lisa Doob from Temple Anshe Shalom, Olympia Fields, IL. has written a
great piece that could work for children's choir called "Stop Knocking Over
the Candles!" A really cute piece about a kid who keeps running into the
Chanukiyah, knocking over the candles and has to put that candles back before
they
get caught. A child or children could solo on the verses with everyone joining
in on the chorus. The chorus also teaches how to place the candles correctly in
the chanukiah. This piece is a real gem, I'm planning on using it this year
with my kids. The piece isn't formally published, but I know she has sheet
music with piano accompaniment. You can contact her at cantortas (at)
aol(dot)com(dot) If
enough people are interested she might be persuaded to post it on
www.totshabbat.com . She already has three of her pieces posted, one for RH,
one for Shabbat
and one for Sukkot. Check them out, they're all really good for younger
children.
