[HANASHIR:15298] Re: HHD songs for children

I'd like to offer a couple of new children's HHD songs. Robin Selinger is
posting the free sheet music and will let us know when they're available.

"I'm Sorry" is a very simple Yom Kippur (or any time?) one for young
children.

"I'm All Shook Up," brought to you by the lulav, has a short but peculiar
history. My son had a role in "Grease" a few months back. He asked me to
show him how to play the guitar chords to "Those Magic Changes," and then I
heard those chords in my living room for days on end. Somehow they morphed
a bit in my mind, got a new but definitely 1950's-style melody, and turned
into "I'm All Shook Up" (which, however, is NOT the same as Elvis' song with
a similar name!).

"I'm All Shook Up" teaches kids how to wave the lulav... except my ADULT
choir has decided to sing it in the sukkah next month, complete with poodle
skirts and black leather jackets. So go figure. Maybe we're all kids at
heart.

Finally, I sent Robin a niggun for Shabbat -- ok, so it's got a few words,
too, but far more lai-lai's. She'll let us know when and where it gets
posted.

Enjoy!
