[HANASHIR:14927] Re: Looking for Shabbat service in Rome, Italy

Hello!

I was in Rome a couple of years ago, and did go to a synagogue. The way it
worked when I was there was that nobody belonged to one particular Temple,
they just belonged, and paid dues, to the community. That way everbody was
connected, and people could feel free to workship where they chose. I
personally went to a synagogue (although I forget the name) that looked like
a huge dome, with a rainbow on the inside. Like...when you see it....you'll
know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. Hmmmmmm. I'm not quite sure where you
could look to find it, except, maybe asking in a hotel or museum, or travel
place, or something? They give tours as well, of the history of the
synagogue, it's role in WWII, and of the culture of the Jewish community of
Rome.

Enjoy your travels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

~smile always~
