[HANASHIR:14833] Re: guitar class and song leading

Hello!

Although I can't really answer your local "how do I find/approach"
questions, I can say that I think it's a phenomenal idea. Does your
synagogue have an adult or teen education program? If they do, say....on
Sunday mornings or a weekday night, offer guitar as one of the courses! I
know my parents were never fussy about what I took at Sunday school. They
just wanted my brothers and I to attend synagogue classes, to meet other
Jewish kids, and they didn't care in the slightest what we learned.
Offering something like guitar, which is new and different, might encourage
more students to attend teen religious school in general. For that
matter...adults!

Good luck with the program. It sounds like a great idea, and I wish you all
the best!!!
