Dear All,
Linda Salvay and the musical group to which she belongs, Yachad,
released their first CD. It is wonderful...full of wonderful contagious
HN spirit. The CD is called "Yachad, the traveling tefillah band" and
can be ordered through their website, www.yachadmusic.com, as well as
through SoundsWrite and in short time by Tara. You can hear some of the
CD at their website. The singing and instrumentation are wonderful, and
the arrangements are fantastic. It includes settings of L'chu N'ranena,
Tzadik Katamar, Ma Tovu, Barchu, Zamru L'Adonai, Miriam's Song/Mi
Chamocha, Ahavat Olam, Halleluyah, Elohai N'tzor, L'cha Dodi, Im Ein Ani
Li, Ein Keiloheinu, Shalom Rav, and Ashreinu/Sh'ma.
Here is a quote from their website:
"Yachad is an extraordinary musical group. The musicians understand that
their role is to help create meaningful prayer moments. They are not
performers; they are pray-ers. The Kansas City community is blessed to
have such incredible talent."
Rabbi Amy Wallk-Katz
I don't get a commission for recommending it! I just love the recording,
and I love the work that these fine musicians are doing. I want to help
support our fellow musicians who are singing and sharing the Jewish
music that we all love and are trying to share with others.
All the best,
Ellen
