When we returned home from HN, Peter and I vowed to share more music with our
local Worcester, MA Jewish community. In an effort to make this happen and also
to support Transcontinental Publications, a most wonderful resource for all of
us on this list, we ordered multiple copies of the lyrics only Shireinu's from
Transcontinental Publications for our own personal library. They're having a
great internet sale. If you go online and order up to 9 copies, they're $10.80
each, if you order 10 - 24 copies, they're $10 each (don't quote me, but I
think that's accurate). Our hope is to begin inviting people to our home or to
our synagogue either after Friday night or Saturday morning services for a good
old-fashioned Shabbat hootenanny. Just wanted to give you food for thought!:)
It's a wonderful way to share your talents and our rich musical heritage with
our local friends. Think globally, act locally. BTW, I emailed our rabbi and
asked him to consider doing the same and it turns out, they already did! We're
gonna be rockin' in Worcester.
All the best,
Ellen (and Peter)
Worcester, MA
