[HANASHIR:14545] Video recordings, at HN 2003.

I did do some digital video recording, as well as much digital audio,
at HN.

My original intention, with the camcorder, was just to video myself,
for 
my own educational purposes ... many people have told me, this is an 
excellent way to improve your own performance ... and I have found this

to be true ( ... though painful, at times!)

But somehow this little device has a mind of its own, and I found
myself 
using it far more than I had expected.

The recordings are not perfect, as I did not bring my tripod, due to 
weight limitations on airplanes ... and handheld recordings are 
difficult, even in the steadiest of hands.  But they do capture the
moment.

If anyone else also did video recordings - or if you know of someone
who 
did recordings, but is not on the list - please contact me privately at

roslynschwartz (at) sympatico(dot)ca , so we can compare notes.

Or if you are interested in obtaining a copy of the recordings, also 
write me.

Meanwhile I will investigate the costs of transfer from the tape to 
various possible formats (VHS tape, DVD disc etc) and let people know.

For next year, I think I will try to find a lightweight tripod that I 
can bring with me, to improve the recording quality - does anyone know 
about this?

Lastly, several people asked if I had made recordings of their own 
performances ... this year, I didn't have a plan, just recorded when
the 
mood struck me.  If there is interest in having specific moments 
recorded, I would be happy to do this next year (assuming I am there as

planned) ... but you would have to let me know, in advance, when &
where 
- and advance notice by email would also be helpful, as I would need to

bring enough videotapes, if there is interest in this.
