[HANASHIR:14450] Re: Singing in Hebrew



I disagree.  I was taught only the songs in Hebrew and didn't learn the translations until many years later.  Since I went to a Conservative Hebrew School, I felt they should have given the students more background on why we were doing these prayers.  Many children were turned off.

     Also, the school was run by and Orthodox Rabbi and I always got the impression that

he really wanted us to be orthodox not Conservative.
