Music Director/ Song Leader-Austin Texas
Job Description:
Responsibilities will include all aspect of leading and supporting the music
program of Temple Beth Shalom including:
* working collaboratively with the Rabbi and Ritual Committee to
select, prepare, and lead the music for Shabbat, Holiday, and Festival
services
* developing and leading the music and/or activities for selected
components of the Children's Program
* providing assistance to the auxiliary group of lay song leaders
* attending regularly scheduled meetings with the Rabbi and various
committees of the congregation
Candidate Profile:
* knowledge of both Reform and traditional music
* Jewish liturgical experience
* experience leading children's programs
* an outgoing and friendly personality, with the ability to express
him/herself clearly
Temple Beth Shalom:
Temple Beth Shalom is a new Reform Jewish congregation in Austin, Texas with
approximately 140 members. The mission of Temple Beth Shalom is to promote
worship, spirituality, lifelong education, social justice, community
outreach, personal growth, and the nurturing support of life cycle events.
