[HANASHIR:14357] Re: Tzedakah

Judy,
I have a new Cd called "Tot Shabbat with Cantor Marcelo".
There is a song called "Shaking the Body, Shaking the box" on the 4th track,
and it's all about Tzedakah.
Since my roots are in Argentina, this song has a Salsa beat mixed with a rap.

I am working on a new workshop for the CAJE Conference this summer which will
be presented as an EndNote session along with Fran Avni and Marilyn Fine on
Thurs of the Conference. One of the things I would like to put
together for this session is a resource list of songs that deal with any of
these topics:

  Tzedakah
  Tzedek (Justice)
  Mitzvot
  Being A Mensch
  Gemiluth Chassodim
  Bikur Cholim
  Hachnasat Orchim

I already have a fairly good list started, but I don't want to leave anything
out. SO.....if you have a song to suggest, please send to me privately judy
(at) judymusic(dot)com the following info:

Name of Song, Composer, what recording it can be found on, is sheet music
available, where can music or recording be purchased, what age group would you
use it with

I will be happy to post this to the entire community after I compile it.

  Thanks!

  Judy :)
