[HANASHIR:13872] Re: Israel Folk Society: IFS Calendar update

Rahel - what a great resource! I will happily take advantage of the list. Ada
and Diane will be hosting us at some point, and perhaps joining us in some
performances.

Susan and I have our first Shuv B'yachad/REUNION concert at the Jerusalem
Museum on May 24th - as part of our upcoming May-June tour. We'll be working
once again with Shlomo Gronich and Matti Caspi, and other old pals like
Yisrael Gurion, Ehud Manor, Nachum Heyman etc. It's all very exciting!!!
(Check out www.susancogan.com and go to the Susan and Fran button. You can
hear a rough of Susan's new peace song for Israel that we are currently
recording and adding to SHOSHANIM.)

We have a gig for Yom Atzmaut in Kalamzoo, MI on May 4th and would love to do
a few more things before we leave, If anyone in the area of MI is interested
in hooking in, please get in touch.

I spent last week in Chicago and had the greatest time wih Ilana Axel whose
musicianship, warmth and lovely energy are inspiring - check out her music-
and Charki Dunn, ditto, old music pal, CAJE preConference Music chair and
great educator. Two wonderful women from this amazing list!

One of the privileges of being a wandering minstrel is getting to
know/see/visit/sing with/and be inspired by - numerous colleagues and
friends. I am so grateful!!!!

Just some thoughts as I try to dispel the gloom that surrounds us all.
Oh and today, listening to Shirona's gorgeous CD Judaic Love Songs brought
moments of light and beauty.
