[HANASHIR:13796] Achshav

I've heard the second line from the song "Achshav" sung two different 
ways....either:

Achshav, Achshav
B'emek Yisrael

or

Achshav, Achshav
B'eretz Yisrael.

Can anyone tell me what "B'emek" means? And also does anyone know why there
are two different versions of the song?
