While Lisa is correct as to the title on PPM's first album, the song was
originally written and
recorded by Blind Willie Johnson as "If I Had My Way I'd Tear The Building
Down" in 1927; Rev. Gary
Davis' version was recorded in 1956. Another excellent version is by the
Grateful Dead, first
appearing on 1977's "Terrapin Station" as "Samson and Delilah (If I Had My
Way)".
But my absolute favorite version is by one of our own. Rabbi Larry Milder
recorded "Samson and
Delilah" on his album "Bible and Beyond"; you can hear a clip on his website
