[HANASHIR:13343] going public - checklist

I am finishing production of my first CD. Jewish folk, mostly originals. I
have had much help and encouragement during the process. I expect to have the
completed CD's ready to fly by the end of the month.

I want to make sure I'm not missing anything, so please let me know if this
checklist seems incomplete. (You may reply offlist).

1. Copyright everything (certificate came in the mail last week! Yay!).
2. Send copies and form to Lib. of Cong. to copyright the recorded
performance of the songs.
3. Website creation (being handled).
4. Begin to set up dates to play out, both in and out of the Jewish
community; and alert the Jewish and alternative media of the release.
5. Send copies to online CD seller (and make sure website has link to the
seller).
6. Write and/or email everyone you know and let them know the CD is being
launched.
7. Find a space to hold an informal CD release bash (the bike shop where I
used to work is probably going to let me throw it there for nearly free, and
will hold more people than my synagogue's sanctuary).
8. Send thank-you gifts/notes to the people who helped me most directly in
getting this thing off the ground. Some folks helped a LOT.
9. Send out the pre-paid CD's (to the folks who bought in early as a way to
help me raise funds to make the CD happen) with a thank-you letter in each.
Pray really hard that someone out there beyond my smallish local circle will
feel better for having heard my music. That would make me happy.

Am I missing anything? Please reply offlist.
Thanks much for all the encouragement and good wishes.
