[HANASHIR:13128] Re: HANASHIR digest 1748

I have an older version (I think Finale 97 or 98 for Macintosh computers) of
Finale. When I first bought it, I was so overwhelmed by how difficult it was
that I completely ignored it, stomping and cursing all the while because of
my frustration). Then after a couple of years, I decided to just put my mind
to it. I did nothing else except Finale. I ate, slept, and breathed Finale.
Finally (great pun, huh!), I taught myself the basic program. It took about
a week of focusing on it and nothing else until I learned it. Now, I can
produce a very respectable songsheet with one melody line, lyrics, and
chords. I could probably do more with it at this point if I put my mind to
it. But I'm extremely satisfied with the results thus far and highly
recommend it to anyone who has the time and determination to learn the
program.

some time with fellow hanashir list members Fran Avni and Rachelle Schubert,
both of whom made us feel very welcome. It reminds me that even though we
all know each other through cyperspace, how lovely it is to connect face to
email address!)
