[HANASHIR:13072] Re: Finger picking

LInda,
I am a classical guitarist so I have been dealing with nails for years.
There is one product called Nailtique that I have tried, but I question its
effectiveness. Gelatin pills, I think are the most effective. Then, I
always use gloves when my hands are in water and keep the nails filed
properly to prevent them from breaking. Every now and then they do break, I
am dealing with that now and it is a pain!! A string company called Savarez
makes a nail kit that many professionals use. I don't know what is in it,
but it is probably for repair.
     Take care....Debbie Block

fingernails, and typically break or tear a nail every time I play. I play
with a thumb pick, but can't tolerate finger picks). I've tried the nail
strengtheners from various beauty supply places, but they begin to peel off
my nails after just a few strums on the guitar. I inquired at a guitar shop,
and they had never heard of any product for this purpose.
